EAP Class Graduation

The EAP class recently completed our 8-week course. Before they left the students shared their thoughts about the program.

"The whole class became good friends. The teacher was very helpful and advised us on writing academic reports and essays. We were able to apply English language study to specific purposes such as constructing a survey and writing a report. We enjoyed our field trips to the Australian Catholic University (ACU) and to the Queensland Institute of Business and Technology (QIBT) where we sat in on real lectures. We highly recommend the EAP course for those students who want to study at an Australian Vocational College or for those who want to continue on to study IELTS for University Entrance."

We have EAP Courses commencing on 29th May, 24th July, 16th October and 11th December.

Students keen to learn

We currently have a group of enthusiastic students keen to improve not only their English but also learn the languages of their fellow students. Once our regular classes finish at 3pm, members of our Cambridge class and other interested students, get ready to start their next language lesson, where their classmates are the teachers. Each afternoon a different student from the Cambridge class steps up to the blackboard and introduces their fellow students to their native language. So far the students have taught each other French, Japanese, Portuguese and Korean.

Visiting Students from Thailand

GV Brisbane has been delighted to be able to play host to visiting students from Thailand over the past 3 weeks.

The students have been with us as part of a study tour program, whereby they have had the chance to experience the Australian lifestyle whilst staying with local families, visit some of our favourite destinations including Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, Gold Coast and Dreamworld, learn about Aboriginal culture and try their hand at our popular sports including cricket!

We hope the students have enjoyed their stay in Brisbane and look forward to welcoming them back in the future.
