Career English Diploma

Here in Calgary, the 12 week Career English Diploma started last month as an extension of the Business English Program (BEP). Students can still take BEP for 4 or 8 weeks, but if they wish to complete all modules leading to the diploma, they can do so over three months. Demand for the program has been so strong that we have added a second class in June and July, even though we have reached capacity in other morning programs.

One of our Career English instructors, Aaron Panych, is also our Information Technology Coordinator. As well as being busy installing even faster computers in our school, Aaron has a unique ability to give the right balance in the Career English class between English Skills and Business Skills. For example, in developing presentation strategies, students become more proficient with speaking in English to small groups while using Microsoft PowerPoint.

We are also very pleased to announce our partnership with the University of Victoria. The Division of Continuing Studies offers the 12 week Certificate in Business Administration (CBA) Program for higher lever international students. The program enhances learners' business skills needed for the global economy. Students who complete the Career English Diploma or other programs in the school at an Intermediate- Advanced English level will be recommended by GV Calgary to UVictoria for the CBA program.

Please note that we are still accepting registration from all nationalities for our special summer 20 lesson/week afternoon program. GV Calgary continues to reflect all the energy of Canada's fastest growing city!
