Our High School Preparation Program - Best Practice

Our Director of Studies, Steve Knussen, was recently invited by NEAS (National ELT Accreditation Scheme) to present a paper on running a High School Preparation (HSP) program in an inner city environment at the Director of Studies Management Conference. Our school was selected, as it is seen by the Australian ELT sector as an example of best practice in HSP programs.

The session was well attended, and the feedback from participants was that it was an informative and helpful presentation.

Teen Activity Program - 17 July to 26 August

This program offers juniors the opportunity to learn English and experience Sydney at the same time! Students learn English in the morning and the afternoons are packed with exciting activities including visits to Bondi Beach, National Maritime Museum, Sydney Observatory Tour, Powerhouse Museum, Darling Harbour and the Sydney Aquarium, Watson’s Bay, Luna Park, Tobruk Farm, Taronga Zoo, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Blue Mountains, a Sydney Harbour Cruise and much more!

The package includes English tuition, activities and excursions, homestay with an Australian family (including 3 meals on the weekend and breakfast and dinner Monday to Friday) as well as airport transfers.

Students can join the program for 1 week or up to 6 weeks.

Trivia Madness Afternoon

The student lounge was filled with teachers and students from all of our programs including General English, Cambridge and EAP. Students at all levels of English joined in the excitement! There were lots of giveaways and 2 main prizes for the winner and runner up teams. There was a wide range of questions - some testing knowledge of Australian culture such as "If you put a snag on the BBQ, what is a snag?" Everyone had a lot of fun!
