Programs usually consist of three hours of class per day plus activities like visiting the CN Tower, a day trip to Niagara Falls, seeing a baseball game, doing Canadian cooking and going to the Science Centre.
One group from Mexico, made up of 18 teens arrived in early
April for two weeks. Although some of them said they were nervous because
it was the first time they had traveled outside of Mexico, it didn't take
long for them to start enjoying their time in Toronto.
One student writes: "My visit to Toronto has been incredible. I think this is the best trip that I have had in my life. I have visited all the interesting places in Toronto. I have talked with lots of native people. I have practiced English in all the places too because Global Village is a good school to learn and practice your English. The teachers are very nice and they have fun and interesting classes. My Homestay are good people because they have always been with me when I feel alone. I will miss everyone and if I have the opportunity, I will come back."
Global Village Toronto looks forward to hosting several more groups this
summer. |
