With a mixture of theoretical study and actual teaching experience,
the Certificate IV focuses on the communication necessary for
language teaching. Students report that they find the program
challenging, but well supported with teacher / student interaction.
The Certificate IV in TESOL program is recommended to students
who:
Plan to work as English teachers.
- Are already English teachers and looking for a practical
upskilling program.
- Plan to work in the childcare industry.
- Are looking for the skills necessary to teach their own
children English.
For students without sufficient English to enter the course
initially, the GV English for TESOL program will be offered
as a pathway from General English or Academic programs. This
course, of 4 weeks duration, is designed to supply students
with the English and practical skills necessary to study successfully
at Certificate IV level. |
