The Teaching English as a Second or Other Language (TESOL) Diploma is an 8 week program designed for intermediate to advanced ESL learners interested in teaching ESL to adult learners in their own countries. It is also suitable for teachers with some previous experience as well as for students who want to develop more confidence in speaking in front of groups.
The program includes interactive methodology sessions, peer teaching opportunities and a supervised practicum with adult ESL learners under the guidance of experienced and trained teacher trainers. At the end of the course, students will get a GV TESOL Diploma and a brief end-of-course report.
At the end of the program, students write the three modules of the University of Cambridge Teachers' Knowledge Test (TKT) and receive a certificate from the University of Cambridge for each module they pass.
GV Calgary is committed to offering the program throughout 2007 with future courses starting on March 12, August 27, and October 22. Some students change to GV TESOL after studying in other programs in the school. It is all part of our flexible study options.
