GV Hawaii's Pre-arrival packet is now ready for students!

Traveling half way around the world to come to Hawaii can be both exciting and intimidating for some of our students. Before arriving in Hawaii, students and agents alike often ask us a variety of questions which often include subjects such as airport transfer, class schedules, U.S. visas and immigration, and life in Hawaii.

To help students feel more at ease about their long journey and to help agents answer a number of questions students may have before departing for Hawaii, Global Village Hawaii has created a Pre-arrival packet for students and agents). The Pre-arrival packet should be given to students once their registration has been confirmed.

We've tried to provide all of the necessary information students should know before arriving in Hawaii in the Pre-arrival packet; however, of course it cannot answer all of the questions students may have, so please feel free to contact us at hawaii@gvenglish.com if you have any further questions or concerns. GVH Business English Class recognized for outstanding community service!

During Term 2 of this year, our Business English Program (BEP) students developed and ran a fundraiser for Shriners Hospital for Children (read last month's news).

Led by teacher Sherene Ariffin, students were able to raise $720 in one afternoon. Potentate Terrance Derby and Divan Doublas Nakamura, made a special appearance at our Term 2 Graduation ceremony to present the BEP students with a special award.

Shriners also dedicated one page in their monthly newsletter to highlight the new bonds formed between Global Village Hawaii and their wonderful organization.
