English Out & About

English Out & About is an exciting new programme currently being trialled at GV Brisbane which is designed to address the specific learning needs of Working Holiday students.

As the name suggests, the course places students in a wide range of real-life situations during which they can practice the various learning inputs that form the first part of each lesson. The programme also allows students to explore the city of Brisbane, visiting such tourist attractions as Queen's Street Mall, Suncorp Stadium, the Brisbane Convention Centre, as well as a local school and university, where they interact with Australian youngsters of their own age.

An intermediate or upper-intermediate level of English is required to participate in the programme and prospective students will be asked to sit a pre-test.

• General English: 28 May / 25 June / 23 July / 20 August* *recommended start dates, but students can start any Monday
• Dates For Your Diary: Please note that GV Brisbane will close for a week over the Christmas holiday period, i.e. from Monday 24th – Friday 28th December 2007 inclusive. The following week, the school will be open on Monday 31st December, but closed for New Year’s Day on Tuesday 1st January 2008, then open as normal from Wednesday 2nd January 2008 onwards.
