Toronto Boring – Are you Kidding Me?
Juliana Strittmatter is a student from Switzerland who has now been in Toronto twice. She first came in October 2006 to study in the Cambridge First Certificate Program and then returned this past April to do the Cambridge Advanced Certificate Program. She is a big fan of all there is to do in this wonderful city.

"Have you just arrived in Toronto and are feeling a bit lost? Would you like to meet new people, explore the city you are in and improve your English by having fun? Then GV Toronto activities are just right for you. Organized by the lovely Natalie (who although she doesn’t seem to be stressed, must have one of the most stressful jobs I can imagine!), you have the opportunity to take part in several events set up for you.
Let me tell you – there is an activity for everyone. If you are keen on playing games, go to the crokinole or soccer activities. If you are interested in Toronto, join the museum activities, the pub or sightseeing tours. (And if you want to feel like a tourist just shout, "Oh look! It's the CN Tower!")
However, you should not only take part in the activities, you should use them as a starting point to set up your own activities with your friends. As soon as you do that, an even better time will begin. Believe me, even though Toronto needs some time to get used to, the longer you’re here, the better it gets. And don't tell me you’re bored before you've tried out several activities or initiated a few of your own.
What's more, if you need some information, if you want to know where you can go out at night, if you need the address of a hairdresser or whatever, Natalie is always ready to help you. Use the opportunity to ask for information from someone close to your age who knows what students like to do and knows Toronto by heart."
