Launch of NEW Flexi-Track IELTS Course
We are pleased to introduce the NEW Flexi-Track IELTS program. It is offered part-time in the evenings and offers the following benefits:
- Flexible - choose the section of the exam where you need to improve:
Speaking + Listening (Monday night) AND/OR
Writing + Reading (Wednesday night)
- Fast - 5 weeks (2 hours per night)
- Focus - study only the General Training Module designed for immigration
and visa purposes
Entry Requirement:
Intermediate Level of English (IELTS 5.0) and above.

Upcoming Ski Trip
Eve, our student activity officer, is busy organizing our annual ski trip to Thredbo which takes place on July 27-29. The students depart school after class on Friday and spend two full days skiing before returning late Sunday night. Always very popular, this year's trip looks to be the best yet as we have recently seen Australia's biggest snowfalls in decades. |

A Comment From One of Our EAP Students
"I studied EAP at GV Sydney (UEC) because I wanted to complete further study at a Flying College. There were no people from my country in my class, so I was using English only with other students. My English has improved a lot and I have made many friends from over the world.
The teachers at the college were wonderful. They tried their best to talk with each student and give them personal help and advice. Reading and Writing is very important for pilots because they need to read documents before each flight. My teachers knew that I wanted to go to flying school, so they gave me individual attention on these areas of my English.
I am now training to be a pilot at a flying school in Sydney. My happiest time in Sydney was in the college!"

EU visitors to benefit from fee-free Tourist visas
From 1 July 2007, EU citizens can obtain electronic Tourist visas and Business Short Stay Visas without paying an application charge. These arrangements will be available to EU citizens staying in Australia for up to three months.
New EU member countries who will also benefit from the new arrangements are Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. |
