After seven years the school, Monica Amido has decided to retire. We would like to thank Monica for her years of service. It is our pleasure to introduce two new staff who have just commenced at GV Calgary and who will be working in the accommodation service area of the school.
Marie-Louise Schuurman Hess has joined us as the new Accommodations Coordinator. Originally from the Netherlands where she completed an MA in History, Marie-Louise has also worked in recent years in Thailand and Texas. She has a vast array of administrative experience to go along with her extensive international travel and her family's expat lifestyle over the last 14 years. Marie-Louise has previously worked in an international school environment in Bangkok. Marie-Louise's mandate is to develop the homestay program at GV Calgary as well as provide a greater variety of other accommodation options.
Denise Ebata also joins us, having recently completed a JET contract in Japan. A graduate of the International Relations Program, with a minor in Japanese, at the University of Calgary, Denise joins us with considerable customer service experiences having once been nominated for the Calgary White Hat Award for Excellence in Customer services. Denise, who is from Calgary, will split her time between working with Marie-Louise in Accommodations and also assisting in the administration of IELTS.
We are very pleased to have Marie-Louise and Denise on our team. They can be contacted at the school by email: mlschuurmanhess@gvenglish.com and debata@gvenglish.com
